💖 Hearts Full of Gratitude: A Thanksgiving Community Success Story

​The holiday season is truly about giving, and this year, our community demonstrated that spirit in a powerful and moving way. We recently wrapped up our donation drive, and thanks to every single person who contributed, it was a profound success. 

Witnessing this outpouring of generosity was a powerful reminder of how much we have to be thankful for. In total, we collected:

• ​Five large black trash bags
  
  
• ​Two 13-gallon kitchen trash bags
  
  
• ​A shopping bag full of brand-new items 
  
  

This mountain of donations went straight to Catholic Social Services and the AWAIC shelter (Abused Women's Aid in Crisis) just the day before Thanksgiving, ensuring these essential items would reach those who needed them most right before the freezing rain and the blustering winds of last week began.


The Power of Community

​This wasn't just a successful drive; it was a testament to the warmth and care that runs through the heart of our community. We simply would not have been able to give in this way without your commitment.

​We saw incredible effort and coordination:

• ​We even had last-minute drop-offs to our Director of Operation's house from folks determined to contribute every last item they could.
